Adventurous Family
This Quarters Vacation Feature = UnCruise Adventures
Our favorite for a stellar adventurous family cruise is UnCruise Adventures! I am here to help book your next adventure as a certified UnCruise adventurer, let me help you see the wilderness of Alaska or experience Hawaii, The Sea Of Cortez or Costa Rica in ways no other cruise line can. Now is the best time to get that deposit in for 2026 or 2027 adventures!
Top Reasons we love UnCruise:
1. All Inclusive - Drinks, you betcha. Hand crafted food, locally sourced and made fresh, so any alterations are just a simple request away. Guided Tours, check... Get up close to wild life without worrying how much the next excursion is going to cost or if you need to book in advance. All the best places and activities are built in.
2. No Lines, no crowed tour buses, no fees for gear in most places
3. It's just, not a cruise. If you enjoy being on the water and "cruising" do you enjoy the multiple sea days where your scenery is just open water and sky? Or do you love it when you're pulling into port and get to see the scenery? UnCruise sails in all the places big cruise ships can't get to, there are no sea days, no "port" days, the captain takes you to where the action is at, if that wild life nearby or amazing beach weather at a remote location, that's where you end up. You may have more then one destination a day!
4. I find it's not actually any more expensive than the mega cruise ships for my family.. After we factor in all the "little" things that become big things. Such as, excursions, specialty restaurants, drinks, (now all our little one are over 21) Yikes! All the in port activities even if we don't do a proper excursion. Gambling, I suppose that's a self inflicted expense... Honestly, more and more the mega ships just feel like a fleecing machine with a captive audience. I love them for that they are but UnCruise, is refreshingly different.
With all good things, there's a con list:
1. While it is all included, that actually doesn't included tips. It's recommended to tip $45 a day per traveler. A family of three on a 7 day adventure can really add up. The other costs, will be inline with other cruise trips, airfare, insurance and any pre/post hotel stays are all additional. I can help navigate all those with you, with my agent connections in air, insurance and hotels, we are sure to find the best solutions for your travel needs.
2. It's a small ship, that means small rooms. Not a lot of triple or quad rooms. If this is important, book well in advance.
3. Not for young families, it's 8-88 years old on their ships. Not to fret, they do make exceptions. Just let me know who your travel party is and ages, I will gladly call and get the ball moving!
4. Sadly, it's not for those with mobility issues. No elevators, and although they are small and mighty, they do have multiple floors. Most of the time, you'll be getting on and off the ship via skiff or kayak.
